ChatGPT Promo Codes for June 2026
We looked at all of the ChatGPT promo code aggregators online, and there is no credible source that confirms any active promo codes at the moment. The promo codes listed are either not active or not real. So you shouldn’t use them.
However, those ChatGPT coupon codes aren’t the only way to save on a ChatGPT subscription or tokens. There are other programs available that you may be eligible for.
ChatGPT Discounts for June 2026
Now let’s look at some of the real and active discount programs you can apply for to save on tokens and your subscription.
OpenAI for Startups: Up to $2,500 to $5,000+ in API credits (active)
For developers/founders, not consumer Plus. Startups can receive up to $2,500 in OpenAI API credits via Ramp’s startup rewards. If you’re interested in opening a Ramp account to access this deal, make sure you join Ramp through NachoNacho, which gives you a bonus of up to $1,000.
Beyond that, portfolio companies of OpenAI’s 200+ VC and accelerator partners (a16z, Sequoia, Y Combinator, etc.) can access up to $5,000+, with no equity required.
It’s one credit grant per OpenAI organization and cannot be stacked.
Codex Open Source Fund: Up to $25K credits (active)
Qualifying open-source maintainers can receive up to $25,000 in OpenAI API credits to use Codex for OSS development.
If you’re interested in applying, you can start here.
OpenAI for Nonprofits: Up to 75% off (active)
Nonprofits can access ChatGPT Business at 20% off monthly or annual plans, and potentially up to a 75% discount on ChatGPT Business or Enterprise via the sales team.
In practice, third-party verifiers report ChatGPT Business at about $8 per user per month billed annually (roughly 60% off retail) through OpenAI’s Goodstack verification.
Eligibility is validated through Goodstack, and the discount applies automatically at checkout once approved, no promo code needed. Note that these types of companies are excluded from the nonprofit ChatGPT discount: academic, healthcare, religious, and government organizations are not eligible. A 501(c)(3) or equivalent is required.
ChatGPT Go: $8/month (active)
This is not technically a discount but it’s the most reliable way to pay less. OpenAI announced on January 16, 2026 that Go is now globally available in all ChatGPT-supported countries, at a reference price of $8/month (localized pricing varies).
Features not included on Go: GPT-5.4 Thinking, Deep Research, Agent Mode, and Codex, and US users see ads.
OpenAI Grove: $50K API credits (inactive)
A 5-week founder program for pre-idea to early-stage builders. Participants received $50K in API credits, early tool access, and mentorship at OpenAI’s SF HQ.
However, applications for Cohort 2 closed on January 12, 2026. We’ll keep you updated if this program becomes live again.
Efficient.app: ChatGPT Business free for 4 years (inactive)
For businesses, not individuals on Plus. Efficient.app advertises a deal that makes one ChatGPT Business seat 100% free for 4 years, which they say they arranged directly with OpenAI as an affiliate-partner exclusive.
Eligibility is narrow and strictly enforced. It covers ChatGPT Business monthly workspaces only (not the annual tier), one seat, and is limited to six countries: the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, the UK, and France, and you must verify with a real business email.
This dealisn’t live right now. As of the page’s latest update, it’s waitlist-only, with codes said to be “being reissued through OpenAI” on a roughly 1–2 week horizon. This discount isn’t documented on an OpenAI page, so it’s unclear if the deal will go live at some point.
ChatGPT Discount Analysis

OpenAI doesn’t often release coupons or promo codes. Instead, OpenAI is generally very open to launching programs that allow serious startups and companies to build with the OpenAI ecosystem by giving free credits.
This pattern tells you everything about how to approach saving on ChatGPT in 2026: stop hunting for a checkout code and figure out which program you qualify for. The savings are real, but they’re gated by who you are rather than by a coupon anyone can paste in.
If you’re a developer or founder, the credit programs above are by far the biggest lever, and stacking isn’t allowed, so pick the single largest grant you qualify for and apply through that path. If you run a registered nonprofit, the Goodstack route is the only discount on this page that meaningfully cuts the price of everyday ChatGPT use, and it applies automatically once you’re verified. And if you’re an individual who just wants a smaller bill, ChatGPT Go is the honest answer.
Everyone else circling the $20 Plus price is mostly choosing between paying full price or waiting for OpenAI to launch something new.
Does ChatGPT Offer a Student Discount?
The student deal that got so much attention is effectively gone: the 2-month free Plus promotion for US and Canadian students ended May 31, 2025 and hasn’t returned.
What’s left is an invite-only referral program limited to specific universities in Australia and Colombia, granting one month of free Plus. Regional carrier and delivery-app perks come and go the same way, so they’re worth a glance but not worth planning around.
The one still standing as of this update is Grab Unlimited in Southeast Asia, which bundles Plus for roughly $6/month and is currently active. If you’re in one of those markets, that’s the best consumer deal anywhere.
OpenAI ChatGPT vs Anthropic Claude vs Google Gemini Pricing
Now that you know what are all the ChatGPT promo code discounts currently available, another way to save is to consider the alternatives.
| Provider | Free | Entry paid | Flagship sub | Power tier | API flagship (in/out per 1M) | API budget (in/out per 1M) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OpenAI ChatGPT | Yes | Go — $8/mo | Plus — $20/mo | Pro — $200/mo | GPT-5.5 — $5 / $30 | GPT-4.1 nano — $0.10 / $0.40 |
| Anthropic Claude | Yes | — | Pro — $20/mo ($17 annual) | Max — $100 or $200/mo | Opus 4.8 — $5 / $25 | Haiku 4.5 — $1 / $5 |
| Google Gemini | Yes | AI Plus — $7.99/mo | AI Pro — $19.99/mo | AI Ultra — $99.99 or $200/mo | Gemini 3.1 Pro — $2 / $12 | Flash-Lite — ~$0.10 / low |
On the subscription side, the three converge almost exactly at the $20 flagship tier, so price isn’t the deciding factor there. The real differences show up at the edges. Gemini undercuts everyone at the cheap end with AI Plus at $7.99/month, ChatGPT Go matches close behind at $8, and Claude has no sub-$20 option at all.
At the premium end, Google’s I/O 2026 changes added a $100/month AI Ultra plan and cut the top tier from $250 to $200, bringing it in line with Claude Max ($100/$200) and undercutting ChatGPT Pro’s flat $200.
Worth noting: OpenAI runs nonprofit and startup programs, but Anthropic offers no student or nonprofit discounts. On the other hand, only through NachoNacho, you can get 20% off Google AI Ultra for Business. Learn more about this Google AI Ultra discount on NachoNacho.
FAQs
Are there any working ChatGPT promo codes in June 2026?
No. OpenAI doesn’t issue public promo or coupon codes for ChatGPT subscriptions. Every “ChatGPT promo code” you’ll find on aggregator sites is either expired, fake, or generated to capture affiliate clicks. If a site is selling a code or asking you to enter one at checkout, treat it as a scam. The real savings come from official programs (nonprofits, startups, Codex) and the lower-priced ChatGPT Go tier.
What’s the cheapest legitimate way to use ChatGPT?
For individuals, ChatGPT Go at $8/month is the cheapest official paid tier, globally available since January 2026 (localized pricing varies). It’s roughly 60% less than Plus, though it leaves out features like Deep Research, Agent Mode, and Codex. If you don’t need those, Go is the honest answer. The free tier is also genuinely capable for light use.
Can startups and developers get free OpenAI credits?
Yes. Startups can receive up to $2,500 in API credits via Ramp’s startup rewards, and portfolio companies of OpenAI’s 200+ VC and accelerator partners can access $5,000+ with no equity required.
Is ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini the best value?
At the $20 flagship subscription tier all three cost nearly the same, so choose on strengths: Claude for coding and long documents, Gemini for Google Workspace integration, ChatGPT for the broadest tool ecosystem. At the cheap end, Gemini AI Plus ($7.99) and ChatGPT Go ($8) win since Claude has no sub-$20 plan. For API usage, Gemini 3.1 Pro is the cheapest flagship at $2/$12 per million tokens, while OpenAI’s GPT-4.1 nano has the lowest floor for high-volume simple tasks.
Will OpenAI release new promo codes later in 2026?
Possibly, but nothing is announced. OpenAI tends to favor program-based access (credits for startups, nonprofit pricing) over public coupons, and regional carrier or partner promotions appear and disappear with little notice. The reliable move is to pick the program you qualify for now rather than waiting for a coupon that historically hasn’t existed.
